Why am I asked to set up payments? #
On Playsport you are able to accept payments from users if you decide to use PlaySport’s registration system.
When creating your experiences you have the option to set up your registrations via
PlaySport or through an external link. If you choose to set your registrations up through PlaySport you will need to have your payments set up in order to receive money from users who register for your experience.
Please note:
This is NOT compulsory and you do not need to set up your payments to be a verified organisation on PlaySport. Your payment details only need to be set up if you know you will be using PlaySport’s registration system.
How do I set up payments? #
To set up payments and enable your Organisation to receive paid registrations on the PlaySport platform, please follow the steps below:
- On Organiser dashboard, click “Payments” tab
- Click “Verify Payment Details”
- Enter details and upload requested documents, and click “Save”

What is my business name and address? #
This should be your registered business name and address. If you have a registered business name, and a different trading name, you should use your registered business name here.
If you are unsure which address to use, this should be your registered business address. If this is different to the address you use for your training or operating address, please use your registered business address.
Business Type – Company or Individual? #
In this drop down you can select Individual or Company, depending on how you’ve set up your Organisation. This relates to your status with the ATO, and should match your registered tax details.
What is my company tax number? #
This section should be completed with your ABN or ACN number, as registered with the ATO.
Why do you need my ID? #
PlaySport requires a government issued ID in order to set up payments for your Organisation, to verify your identity and that you are over the age of 18 years old.
Can I change currency?
No. Currently PlaySport only offers payment services in AUD.
Can I use any other payment method than bank details? #
No. Currently PlaySport offers payment services using bank accounts only.
Can I edit my payment details after they’ve been verified? #
Yes, you can edit your payment details at any time. To edit these details, follow the below steps:
- On Organiser dashboard, click “Settings” tab
- Click “Payment Details”
- Enter details and upload requested documents, and click “Save”
