Mobile numbers are unique, using your mobile helps PlaySport keep your account more secure.

Why do you need my mobile number? #

Your mobile number provides an extra layer of security, as it is used to verify your 

account. It also helps us to ensure you are the person who created your account. 

Providing your mobile number ensures you will never have to create multiple accounts and allows you to Play, Organise and Follow your favourite sports from one account. 

Why do I need to confirm my identity via SMS? #

​Using OTP (one time password) adds an extra layer of security to your PlaySport account and helps to ensure you are the only person who can access your account. 

This means that if your username and password are compromised, your account will remain secure so long as you have access to your mobile phone. 

Why am I sent an email to verify my email address if I verify my account through my phone number during signup? #

Although you have already verified your account using your mobile number, you can also verify your account using your email address for extra privacy and control.

In the event you may forget your password you have the option of using either your phone or email to change your password if you have verified your email address. 

Verifying your email address is not compulsory in order to login to your account, however, PlaySport highly recommends doing this to give your account more protection and give you more access to your credentials when required.
