Creating Linked Accounts

A linked account gives you administration rights over another users account. Ideal for parents managing children’s sport.

PlaySport allows you to create and link with other accounts, giving you the ability to find and schedule Sport for other individuals. This feature is great for managing multiple calendars.

Linked Accounts has been created with families in mind – allowing a single person to manage multiple Accounts, reset passwords and Register for Experiences. This is great for Parents managing their children’s Sport!

Creating a Linked Account during sign up:

  1. Once you have successfully created your PlaySport Account and verified your email address, you will be presented with the option to create an Account for a family member. If they have already made an Account on PlaySport you can search for their name, or alternatively you can click ‘Create New User For My Child’ and create a new Account.
  2. Enter the Name, DOB, Address, and Gender preferences of your Linked User. Untick ‘Use My Email As Primary Email Address’ if you would like your Linked User to have their own assigned email address.
  3. Choose an Avatar Photo, Username and Password for your Linked Account. If the Linked User would like to log in they will need to use these credentials.
  4. The mobile authentication process is optional. You can either include the Linked User’s mobile number which sends them an authentication code and validates the number instantly, or, you can skip this step. A mobile number is not compulsory for a Linked User.
  5. Select the Sports that your Linked User is interested in. This helps us to populate ‘News’ that is tailored to your Linked User’s preferences.
  6. Congratulations! You have now created a Linked Account. You can choose to create another, or enter the website.

Creating a Linked Account through your Profile:

  1. Click on your Avatar Photo in the top right corner.
  2. Click ‘New Player’.
  3. Follow the same steps listed above.

Does a Linked Account need unique contact information?

Linked Accounts do not need unique contact information.

Linked Accounts that use the primary email address of the creating Account, and have skipped the mobile option, will share the contact details of the Primary (creating) Player. This feature is especially valuable when creating Linked Accounts for children.
