News posts are a great way to share updates and news about your Organisation, Experience, partners and more. They are also a great medium to keep you community up to date on all your activities or notify them of important updates.
Pro Tips
- Sharing – Sharing News Posts is a great way to attract the attention of a broader audience to your existing member base. You can share a News Post by clicking on the Menu button (•••) on the top right of the post and then click Share.
- Experience Link – This allows you to promote a specific Experience underneath the News Post. You can then share your News Post on your social channels to draw more people into your Experience.
What is an Organiser News Post, and what should I be posting? #
PlaySport enables Organisers to create and publish News posts, which are published to their followers & participants News feeds – and if they are public posts, they can also be viewed by people in your local area who are checking out the “Explore” tab.
PlaySport gives all Organisers this functionality, and it can be used to keep your followers, participants, and local audience up to date and engaged in what’s happening with your Organisation.
From promoting an Open Day or Try-Outs, to celebrating the MVP, or announcing your next dance concert – News gives you the ability to broadcast the latest updates and information, right alongside our Pro News.
How do I create a News post? #
Organisers can create a News post in seconds, simply follow the below steps:
- Navigate to your “Organiser Dashboard”
- Click on the News icon in top navigation bar
- Click on “Create Post”
- Populate the relevant fields for your News article, and upload an image (video coming soon!)
- Confirm the Visibility (Public or Private)
- Optional – Click “Preview” to see how your News post will look
- Click “Save & Publish”
How do I edit a News post? #
To edit a live news post, click the 3 dots in the right upper corner of a news header image, click “Edit Post”, make required changes and click “Save & Publish” when finished.
How do I delete a News post? #
To edit a live news post, click the 3 dots in the right upper corner of a news header image, click “Delete Post”, and click “Yes” on confirmation message.
