The benefits of yoga are numerous. Originating in India over 5,000 years ago, yoga is translated as 'Union'. Yvonne's classes unite physical postures (Asana) with breath practises (Pranayama), relaxation, and meditation. Through yoga, you can strengthen, stretch, and relax your skeletal, muscular, digestive, cardio-vascular, glandular, and nervous systems, as well as boost your immune system.
Breathing is a natural function, but tension often interferes with it. Through pranayama practise, you can learn to breathe well, direct the breath, and feel it in different parts of your body.
