One of Erica's specialisations is in pre-natal and post-natal yoga classes, catering to expectant mothers and those who have recently given birth. In addition to her regular classes, Erica also organises week-long Pilates retreats in Dalyan, Turkey. When it comes to the frequency of Pilates practise, Erica recommends committing to 2–3 sessions per week for those looking to achieve specific results, such as building core strength, toning the body, or recovering pre-baby shape. She often quotes Joseph Pilates, stating that “in 10 sessions you will feel the difference, in 20 sessions you will see the difference, and in 30 sessions you will have a whole new body.
Erica's qualifications are impressive, as she is a member of The Register of Exercise Professionals UK (REPS) and holds a 15-year professional Pilates instructor certificate from the OCR and RSA. She is also a qualified Hatha yoga teacher (yoga siromani) with The International Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Centre and a certified “Pregnancy Yoga Teacher. ” Additionally, she is qualified in the Speedo Aquatic Fitness System.
Erica's journey into the fitness industry began after she decided to change her career when her second daughter was born. She had always been involved in various sports activities since she was a child, including skating, ballet, horse riding, and skiing. Her passion for fitness led her to pursue certifications in exercise to music, pilates-based matwork, and Hatha yoga teaching. Her background in physiology, anatomy, and nutrition, as well as her additional modules in pre-natal and post-natal exercise, working with older adults, personal training, and choreography techniques, have further enriched her expertise.
To stay updated with the latest techniques and practises, Erica regularly attends workshops, conventions, and conferences in her field. Her dedication to continuous learning and professional development reflects her commitment to providing high-quality instruction and guidance to her clients.
