Resolve It! Is an education centre and self-defence school located in Cardiff, Wales, called “RESOLVE it”. The centre is dedicated to empowering young people and educating them about potential risks to their health and well-being. The goal of RESOLVE it is to equip young people with the skills and confidence to make safe decisions that protect themselves and others both physically and emotionally.
RESOLVE it was founded by Louise Thompson, who serves as the Managing Director. Under her leadership, the centre offers engaging activities that explore the consequences of dangerous social norms and behaviours. These activities help young people understand the importance of personal safety and encourage them to adopt responsible attitudes and behaviours.
The centre takes a proactive approach to personal safety training by providing workshops and events that deliver valuable insights in just a short amount of time. For example, in just 12 minutes, participants gain valuable information on personal safety and learn numerous simple ways to protect themselves. The centre also offers surprising and eye-opening information on age restrictions, which helps young people better understand their rights and responsibilities.
RESOLVE it believes in the power of education and believes that learning about personal safety should be accessible to all. To this end, they offer a programme called “Female Defenders. ” This programme consists of three self-defence sessions specifically designed for women. Participants can learn effective and easy-to-use self-defence techniques absolutely free of charge.
