Phantoms Cricket Club was initially founded in 1953 as Glenelg ANA Cricket Club by Bob White and his mates. Over its 70-year history, the club has achieved significant success, including a total of 17 premierships. Notably, the club has won five topships in the Adelaide and Suburban Cricket Association's Section 1 competition. In 2017, the club underwent a name change to Phantoms Cricket to align with its football and netball club partners, Plympton High Old Scholars and Camden Football and Netball Clubs.
The club's committee consists of passionate individuals who work tirelessly to ensure the smooth operation and success of the club. From the President, Matthew 'Polka' Polkinghorne, to the Secretary, Steven 'Johnno' Johnson, and the Events Organiser, Cameron 'Stumpy' Moore, the committee members are dedicated to creating a welcoming environment for all players and fostering a strong sense of camaraderie within the club.
To celebrate victories and promote team spirit, Phantoms Cricket Club has adopted the club song of PHOS Camden Football Club. With new lyrics penned by Jim Jackaman, the song is sung with passion and pride by players and supporters after a hard-fought victory.
