Join Sunreef Mooloolaba, the local freediving club in Sunshine Coast, for an unforgettable Night Dive on the Reefs. Get ready for an exhilarating experience that will leave you wanting more!
When you arrive at Sunreef, our friendly staff will be there to greet you at the check-in desk. They will ask for your diver certification card and make sure your gear is properly organised. If you have your own gear, our crew will be more than happy to help you carry it down to the dock. And if you need to hire gear, don't worry! We have everything pre-arranged for your convenience.
Once we set off to the Local Reefs, our experienced crew will provide a comprehensive briefing about the dive sites we will be exploring. They will also be available to answer any questions you may have. After a short 15-minute ride from the Mooloolaba River system, we will anchor the boat at the dive site. Our crew will assist you in setting up your equipment, so you can get ready for the dive.
The dive is planned to last for approximately 50 minutes, or until you reach a remaining air pressure of 50 bar, whichever comes first. After the dive, we will return to the shop where our team will unload the vessel and wash all your gear if you wish.
Please keep in mind that the confirmation of the trip is dependent on favourable sea conditions and weather. If conditions are not suitable, we will notify you promptly via email and text message on the day before the trip, informing you of the trip status and departure time.
If you haven't dived in the past 2 years or if you are not certified, you will need to complete either a Scuba Review/Refresher Course or a Reactivate Course before you can participate in any diving activities. We offer these courses on most days at set times. For more information, feel free to contact us at 7 5444 5656.
While seasickness and difficulties equalising can sometimes occur, our crew is trained to take care of you and ensure your comfort and safety. However, please note that we will not issue rebookings or refunds for the inability to equalise or experiencing seasickness without completing the dives. To minimise the risk of seasickness, we recommend considering seasickness tablets.
If you have your own equipment, remember that to dive any of these sites at night, you must have a snorkel, computer, SMB, a whistle, and two white light torches. And if you are joining our Fluoro/UV Dive, don't forget to bring two white light torches along with your UV torch. These additional items are necessary in addition to your scuba equipment.
If you don't have all the necessary equipment, don't worry! You can purchase or rent the required items from our shop, including BCD, tanks, weights regulators, mask, snorkel, fins, wetsuit, and gloves. Just remember that each diver must complete a Sunreef Diver Statement before diving with us. This will be sent to you along with your booking confirmation. If you answer 'YES' to any medical questions on the Diver Statement or during check-in, a doctor's clearance may be required before your dive. Failure to provide the clearance on the day of the dive will result in accordance with our cancellation policies stated in our Terms and Conditions.
For parking, The Wharf complex offers 4-hour parking. However, please make sure to find suitable parking for the duration of your tour, as some of our trips may exceed 4 hours. There are limited unlimited parking spaces available outside The Wharf Mooloolaba / SEA Life car park.
