The dive site at Nurse Rock is not only home to the Grey Nurse Sharks but also features delightful boulders, small swim-throughs, and diverse marine life. Expect to encounter wobbegong sharks, surgeon fish, turtles, rays, cuttlefish, eels, and vibrant tropical reef fish during your freediving adventure. Prepare for a truly immersive experience as you explore depths ranging from 14 to 22 meters.
Your journey with Sunreef Mooloolaba begins with a check-in at their facility, which should be done at the time specified in your confirmation email or text. Skilled staff members will be there to assist you in organising your gear, ensuring everything is in order for your underwater exploration. If you prefer to bring your own equipment, you can easily set it up at the dock.
Before departing to the Local Reefs where Nurse Rock is located, the experienced crew at Sunreef will provide a comprehensive briefing about the dive sites, addressing any questions or concerns you may have. The boat ride to the site takes approximately 15 minutes, swiftly transporting you to the underwater wonderland awaiting your arrival.
Each dive is thoughtfully planned to last for either 50 minutes or until you reach 50 bar of pressure remaining, whichever comes first. Between dives, you'll enjoy a relaxing surface interval, during which snacks and water will be provided. Of course, feel free to bring your own snacks if you have any specific dietary requirements. Once your thrilling dives are complete, the helpful crew will assist with unloading the vessel and even offer to wash your gear if you wish.
It is essential to note that dive trips are subject to sea conditions and weather, as safety always remains a priority for Sunreef Mooloolaba. Rest assured that any changes or cancellations due to unfavourable conditions will be promptly communicated to you via email and text, ensuring a well-informed and seamless experience.
For those who haven't gone diving in the past 2 years, completing a Scuba Review/Refresher Course or a Reactivate Course is necessary to participate in this event.
