Welcome to Linda's Hip Hop Street Dance Class, a dance school located in New Zealand. Linda's Hip Hop Street Dance Class offers classes for kids ages 4–14 years, as well as adults of all abilities. The classes are designed to be small and friendly, providing a supportive environment for students to learn dance skills, grow in confidence, make friends, and have fun.
The classes initially started at Harleston Community Leisure Facility and take place every Tuesday after school from 4:30 pm until 5:15 pm. Students are welcome to come and try the first class for free to experience the fun, excitement, and easiness of the dance class.
Linda Cosgrove, a journalist, radio & TV presenter DJ, entrepreneur, and IDTA qualified dance instructor, is the founder of Linda's Hip Hop Street Dance Class. Linda's passion for dance and music inspired her to start this dance class for kids. Her mission is to motivate children and provide them with an opportunity to enjoy themselves while improving their dance skills, fitness, rhythm, coordination, and confidence.
If you or your child are inspired by music videos from artists like Usher, Madonna, Justin Timberlake, Beyonce, and Ne-Yo and are looking to learn cool moves or have a fun workout, Linda's beginners hip hop street dance classes are the right choice for you. These classes are tailored for children with little to no previous dance experience in hip hop and street dance styles. Students will learn basic street dance moves and grooves and will have the opportunity to practise and perform a routine at the end of the class. Each week, they will develop rhythm, coordination, and confidence while adding their own attitude to the moves.
Linda's Hip Hop Street Dance Class ensures the safety and well-being of its students. The team is fully CPR and first aid trained, holds public liability insurance, and is qualified in health and safety. Linda is also IDTA qualified, which stands for International Dance Teacher Association. Additionally, all instructors have undergone CRB/DBS checks.
