Knight School of Dance

As an Acrobatic Arts Certified Teacher. I have a vast amount of experience teaching dance to students of all ages and abilities, and I am passionate about creating a welcoming and nurturing environment for everyone to explore their love for dance.

At Knight School of Dance, we offer a variety of classes for children and adults, including Ballet, Tap, Modern Theatre, and Acrobatic Arts. Our classes cater to students from the age of 2 years 9 months to adults, ensuring that everyone can find a class that suits their age and skill level. For our young dancers, we focus on developing their imagination and love for dance, while also teaching them the importance of good posture and technique.

We take pride in providing high-quality dance tuition, with qualified and experienced teachers who are dedicated to helping our students develop their skills and passion for dance. We believe that dance not only offers physical benefits but also instils valuable life skills such as discipline, self-confidence, and creativity.

Throughout the years, we have had the pleasure of seeing many of our students grow and excel in their dance journeys. Some have successfully pursued dance as a career, while others have returned to our adult classes after completing their higher education. We also offer classes for Older Learners, including the Silver Swans classes, which provide a fantastic opportunity for adults to continue their dance education and stay active.

Our classes are held at the California Ratepayers Hall, a well-equipped dance studio that includes ballet barres and a Harlequin Sprung Dance Floor. We also provide a range of opportunities for our students, including dance examinations, shows and performances, fundraising events, theatre trips, workshops, and awards ceremonies. We believe that these experiences contribute to creating motivated, hardworking, and creative individuals.

Alison Knight, the Principal of Knight School of Dance, personally welcomes you to our dance school. With her extensive experience and passion for dance, she has created a welcoming and nurturing environment where everyone can enjoy the world of dance. Alison started dancing at a young age and has achieved advanced levels in various dance styles. She holds Registered Teacher Status with the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) and the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD), and is also an Acrobatic Arts Certified Teacher.
