Hartlepool Gymnastics Club is a gymnastics academy located in Hartlepool, New Zealand. Since its establishment in July 2006, the club has grown exponentially and now boasts over 400 members. With a strong focus on inclusivity, the club offers classes for all ages and abilities.
Conveniently situated on Lynn Street South, close to Hartlepool town centre, Hartlepool Gymnastics Club has earned numerous awards for its exceptional training programmes. These accolades include Development Club of the Year, Tumbling Club of the Year, North of England Club of the Year, and General Gymnastics Club of the Year.
The club's classes are carefully designed to cater to different age groups and skill levels. For toddlers aged crawling to 4 years, the Gymtots classes provide an introduction to music, rhythm, and physical development. In these classes, children are encouraged to explore the gym and develop their physical abilities.
Recreational classes at Hartlepool Gymnastics Club are based on the British Gymnastics awards scheme. The class timings vary depending on age and are offered on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. These classes provide a fun and engaging environment for participants to learn and advance their gymnastics skills.
For older children, the High School Classes offer an opportunity to work on skills, fitness, and have fun while socialising with peers. The classes are held on Wednesdays and Fridays.
Those interested in free running and parkour can join the Freestyle Gym classes, available for anyone over 8 years old. These classes are held on Fridays and Saturdays.
In addition to these classes, the club offers Adult Gym classes every Thursday from 8:30 pm to 9:45 pm. These classes are open to anyone over the age of 14 who wishes to participate and stay fit through gymnastics.
For the more advanced gymnasts, the club offers invitation-only Advanced Classes. The General Gymnastics Squad trains twice a week and focuses on floor and vault competitions. On the other hand, the Women's Artistic/Tumbling Squads train up to three/four times a week and work towards regional and national level competitions. Some members of these squads even have the opportunity to work towards British squad selection and compete at the British Championships.
At Hartlepool Gymnastics Club, all coaches are qualified by British Gymnastics. Led by Head Coach Shelley Walton and Assistant Head Coach Dylan Jones, the coaches are committed to helping each child reach their fullest potential. Whether in the recreational classes or squad classes, the coaches strive to support each child's personal goals at a pace that suits them.
Hartlepool Gymnastics Club takes pride in providing a safe and nurturing environment for gymnasts. The club has dedicated welfare officers, including Clare Swales, Lynsey Butler, and Lisa Birt. Their presence ensures the well-being and happiness of all members.
With its commitment to excellence and unwavering dedication to its members, Hartlepool Gymnastics Club is the perfect place for gymnasts of all ages and abilities to develop their skills, build confidence, and achieve their goals.
