Join Sunreef Mooloolaba for a double dive at Hanging Rock, a breathtaking site that can be enjoyed by divers of all levels of experience. This magical location features a vibrant 5 metre wall, stretching 50 metres in length, and is surrounded by 12 metres of crystal-clear water. Prepare to be amazed as you encounter an array of tropical reef fish, including everyone's favourite clown fish, elegant nudibranch species, graceful eagle rays, curious moray eels, sleek barracuda, majestic turtles, and a variety of vibrant reef fish. Don't forget to keep an eye out for the impressive plate corals that adorn the site.
Upon arrival at Sunreef, simply head to the desk and our friendly crew will be more than happy to assist you in getting organised with your gear. If you prefer to bring your own equipment, our team will gladly offer their expertise in setting it up for you. Before embarking on your adventure, our trained crew will provide a comprehensive briefing about the dive sites and address any questions or concerns you may have. The boat ride to Hanging Rock takes approximately 15 minutes, offering a relaxing journey with stunning coastal views.
Each dive is designed to last for either 50 minutes or until your air supply reaches 50 bar. In between dives, you'll have the opportunity to enjoy a surface interval where snacks and refreshing water will be provided. Of course, feel free to bring your own snacks if you have any specific preferences. After the dives, we'll return to the shop where our dedicated team will take care of unloading and washing your gear, ensuring it's ready for your next exciting underwater adventure.
Please note that the confirmation of this trip is dependent on sea conditions and weather. Don't worry though, we'll keep you well-informed of any changes via email and text message. If you haven't indulged in the joys of diving within the past 2 years, rest assured that we have you covered. Simply complete a Scuba Review/Refresher Course or a Reactivate Course provided by our experienced crew.
For your Local Reef dives, it's crucial to come prepared with a snorkel, computer, surface marker buoy (SMB), and a whistle, in addition to your regular scuba equipment. If you're missing any of these essentials, don't fret! You can conveniently purchase or hire them from our shop, ensuring that you have everything you need for a fantastic dive.
Before immersing yourself in the underwater wonders, each diver must complete a Sunreef Diver Statement. This is a mandatory requirement that ensures everyone's safety and adherence to diving protocols.
