THE COACHES ARE HIGHLY SKILLED AND PASSIONATE, AND THE FACILITIES ARE TOP NOTCH. I LOVE THAT THEY OFFER BOTH MARTIAL ARTS AND FITNESS CLASSES, SO I CAN SWITCH UP MY WORKOUT ROUTINE.

Gym 01 Fitness & Martial Arts, located in Portsmouth, New Zealand, is a fitness centre and martial arts club that provides a welcoming and non-judgemental environment for individuals of all ages and abilities. With a mission to make martial arts accessible to all, the facility offers expert classes in various disciplines, including Mixed Martial Arts (MMA), Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ), Muay Thai, Boxing, Kickboxing, and Junior classes in Kickboxing, Boxing, and BJJ. They also provide Womens Only Classes and family BJJ classes.

One of the distinguishing features of Gym 01 is its 24-hour availability, making it the only gym in Portsmouth to offer round-the-clock fitness and martial arts training. The facility is spread over two large units. The first unit is solely dedicated to martial arts and boxing, featuring two matted floors, punch bag zones, locker rooms, waiting area, showers, and changing rooms. The second unit houses the 24-hour gym, which includes four weight lifting stations, free weights, cable machines, a functional training area, a cardio floor with various machines, shower rooms, and lockers.

The 24-hour gym offers state-of-the-art equipment, such as Life Fitness Treadmills, Concept 2 Ski Ergs and Rowers, Bikes, Jacobs Ladder, and Versa Climbers. Additionally, the ground floor boasts two dedicated weights areas equipped with squat racks, power cages, Olympic lifting platforms, bars, plates, and cable machines. A functional training area features Boxmaster and Uppercut stations. Gym 01 even has a full-size boxing ring for members to practise their skills.

With affordable membership options starting from 15 a month, members have access to the entire facility, including all classes and gym equipment. Access to the gym is made simple through a dedicated app using a QR code. Gym 01 prides itself not only on its top-notch facilities but also on its world-class coaching and friendly atmosphere.
