Brighton Galaxy Girls Football Academy also runs after-school clubs in various locations, including Balfour School, St Paul's C of E School, and Carden Primary School. These clubs provide a convenient and structured opportunity for girls to continue their football training outside of regular school hours.
The academy's story began with a small group of 12 girls who wanted to continue playing football as they transitioned into Year 7. With the support of their coaches, including ex-England U19 International Briony Parks and ex-BHA Womens GK Coach Matt Evans, these girls formed a new girls' football club. Since then, the club has grown significantly, attracting girls from different age groups and schools, and providing a nurturing and inclusive environment for them to develop their skills and passion for the sport. The club has also welcomed influential coaches, such as Wales International footballer Amelia Ritchie, who have further enhanced the training experience for the girls.
With its commitment to empowering girls through football and its dedication to fostering a supportive and positive environment, Brighton Galaxy Girls Football Academy continues to be a renowned and respected football club in the Brighton community.
