About
The Western Districts Joggers & Harriers, also known as Westies Joggers, is a friendly family orientated running club that will introduce you to the beautiful traffic free pathways and tracks that wind their way around the lake, river, and bush settings at Lake Gillawarna.
Our members range in age from young kids to the over eighties and comprise walkers, joggers and competitive runners. Western Districts Joggers & Harriers has a unique history and has been established for over 40 years, each year introducing more and more people to the benefits of running.
Every week the Westies Joggers has great events open to runners of all ages and speeds.
The first Saturday of each month we offer a 10 km race using a handicap formula, on the second Saturday we run a 3. 5 km handicap race. The nifty 5@theLake race is held on the third Saturday of each month, while our club captain Ben Swinfield offers fun training exercises on the forth Saturday.
We also host the annual Festival of the Feet a wonderful running festival held in July and open to runners of all ages and abilities.
