Northside Riding Club (NRC) is one of the oldest equestrian clubs in the Sydney Metropolitan Region. Located at the beautiful Princess Anne Arena within the St Ives Showground, our home grounds are licenced from Ku-ring-gai Council.
Catering to riders who own or lease their own horses, NRC welcomes riders of all levels, from beginners to advanced. With over 300 members, including riders of all ages, we provide a wide range of horse riding activities for both competitors and enthusiasts.
NRC organises approximately 70 events each year, covering disciplines such as showjumping, eventing, dressage, hacking, and horsemanship. We also offer training days, clinics, and social events, ensuring there is something for everyone.
For those looking to improve their skills, NRC hosts clinics conducted by well-known and respected coaches throughout the year. These clinics cover various phases of riding, including dressage, show jumping, and eventing. Additionally, we offer a range of educational opportunities beyond riding, such as vet talks, online forums, and float clinics.
As a non-profit organisation run by volunteers, NRC relies heavily on sponsorship to operate smoothly. We take pride in promoting and advertising our sponsors at every opportunity. We offer different sponsorship packages in Gold, Silver, and Bronze, with various options to suit individual preferences.
Membership at NRC is open to riders from the age of 5 and above, provided they have their own horse. Please note that NRC is not a riding school, so riding lessons are not available on-site. To ride on our grounds, it is necessary to become a member of Equestrian Australia or Northside Riding Club for insurance purposes. Additionally, all members are required to volunteer at events for at least 4 hours per year.
Spectators are always welcome at NRC events, and entry is free of charge. Whether you are a rider or simply an equestrian enthusiast, our club offers a vibrant and welcoming community where you can enjoy and appreciate the beauty of horse riding.
