The three main forms of Jiu Jitsu are 'Duo' (self-defence techniques), 'Fighting' (free fighting) where competitors combine striking, grappling and submissions under rules which emphasise safety, and 'Ne Waza' (grappling and ground fighting) in which competitors are not allowed to strike but only work for submission.
