YOGA WITH BEE is an experienced and passionate yoga instructor based in London. With nearly twenty years of practise, Bee's love affair with yoga began when she attended a class with a friend. Despite not considering herself a sporty person, Bee was instantly captivated by the Iyengar style of yoga and has since explored various other styles including Hatha, Vinyasa, Hot Yoga, and more. In her teaching, Bee enjoys mixing different yoga styles to create a unique and engaging experience for her students.
Through her own yoga journey, Bee has witnessed a remarkable shift in her mindset, approach to challenges, and stress management. Yoga has not only brought her a sense of peace and happiness but has also significantly improved her strength, flexibility, and overall wellbeing. Recognising the transformative power of yoga, Bee was inspired to become a yoga teacher and completed a Level 3 Diploma in Teaching Yoga course with YMCA Fitness Industry Training. She has also furthered her knowledge by completing additional training in Pregnancy Yoga and Yin Anatomy.
Bee's teaching philosophy revolves around connexion, gratitude, and living in the present moment. She strives to create a welcoming and inclusive environment for students of all ages and abilities, from super flexible and fit individuals to those just starting their yoga journey. With a focus on correct alignment, influenced by her love of Iyengar yoga, Bee believes that a safe and beneficial practise is built on a strong foundation. She practises and teaches Functional yoga, adapting each pose to suit the unique needs of individuals.
Mindfulness is another key aspect of Bee's teaching, as she believes that yoga provides us with valuable tools for finding inner peace and contentment amidst our daily thoughts and processes.
Currently, all of Bee's classes are conducted via Zoom due to the pandemic. She offers a mixed-level flow class every Wednesday from 7-8 PM and a Saturday class from 9:30-10:30 AM. Additionally, Bee provides personalised one-on-one yoga sessions, allowing students to work with her on tailor-made plans that suit their specific abilities and goals. These sessions can be held in the comfort of the student's own home, with up to two friends having the option to join for the same fee.
For those looking for a gym environment, Bee also teaches Vinyasa flow classes at The Gym in Manor House on Saturdays from 9-10 AM.
Bee's ultimate goal is to introduce yoga to as many people as possible, highlighting that yoga is for everyone and extends beyond just physical practise. She aims to share the daily observance of the Eight Limbs of Yoga, emphasising mindfulness and inclusivity.
