Founded by Karen, a passionate fitness and yoga instructor, the gym aims to provide enjoyable and engaging classes that promote both physical and mental well-being.
In her classes, Karen combines her personal style with lots of banter and laughter to create a fun and friendly environment while disguising the amount of work participants are actually doing. She believes that fitness is not just about physical appearance or flexibility but also about how one feels on the inside.
The gym offers a variety of classes for all ages, sizes, genders, and abilities. All venues chosen for the classes are non-intimidating and free of mirrors to ensure that everyone feels comfortable and included. Karen also organises occasional social events to foster a sense of community and camaraderie among the gym members.
Karen's journey in the fitness industry began 27 years ago when she obtained her first fitness qualification to become an aerobics instructor. Over the years, she has added various certifications, including kick aerobics, Zenga, and yoga. As her love for yoga grew, Karen expanded her qualifications to include baby yoga, pre, and postnatal fitness, as well as children's fitness.
The gym offers a range of classes to cater to different preferences and needs. Hatha Yoga Flow harmonises the physical and mental benefits of yoga, providing a sense of calm, balance, and flexibility. Gentle Yoga is practised at a slower pace, allowing for relaxation and deeper stretching, with the added ambiance of candlelight and soft lighting. LBT Blast is a high-energy cardiovascular workout that targets the legs, bums, and tums, while Zenga combines elements of yoga and Pilates to challenge the body's stability and flexibility.
Additionally, Yoga – Fun Fabulous Fitness offers baby yoga, which combines yoga for mummy and baby, incorporating action songs, relaxation techniques, and postnatal health. The gym also features Giggle & Wiggle, a cardio-based workout for mothers attended by their children, ensuring that mummy's postnatal health is addressed while providing fun and fitness for all.
Other classes available include Step & Tone, a cardio workout utilising a step platform, and Fitness Yoga, which combines traditional yoga with body conditioning for increased muscle strength and flexibility.
