Wrexham Swimming Club (WSC) is a well-established swimming club based at Waterworld in the heart of Wrexham, North Wales. With over a hundred years of history, WSC has become a prominent name in the Welsh swimming community. The club currently boasts a membership of approximately 180 squad members.
Training sessions at Wrexham Swimming Club take place every evening from 4. 30 p. m. and most mornings from 5.
30 a. m. at Waterworld. Additionally, development groups have training sessions at both Rhosnesni School and St Martins, where evening training is conducted.
The club's commitment to providing comprehensive training opportunities at various times of the day ensures flexibility for all members.
WSC has taken pride in organising and hosting four open galas each year for the past 19 years. These galas are held in March, May, June, and November at Waterworld. As a competitive and inclusive swimming club, WSC caters to all types of abilities, ranging from junior level to skill development, and performance level at Welsh and UK national competitions. In recognition of the club's dedication, it was awarded Swim Wales Performance Club status in 2019, an accolade that highlights the commitment of Swim Wales, coaches, and the committee to creating an optimal environment for all swimmers to achieve their personal bests.
WSC's commitment to excellence is further demonstrated through its new training timetable, which the club has shared on its social media platforms and website. This updated timetable ensures that members have easy access to training schedules across different venues. The venues are colour-coded for convenience: yellow represents Waterworld (LL13 8DH), green represents Rhosnesni (LL13 9ET), and red represents St Martins (SY10 7BD).
