Taekwondo Academy, Crafers is a martial arts club located in Crafers, South Australia. Led by Grand Master Wahid Halimee 8th Dan Black Belt and Master Carol Halimee 6th Dan Black Belt, both Kukkiwon certified and holding degrees in Health and Physical Education, the academy has over 40 years of experience in teaching martial arts.
The academy is dedicated to providing genuine training that focuses on each individual. They believe that expensive studio fitouts are not necessary for effective training. Their time-tested training system has proven to work for countless students over the years.
One of the standout features of the academy is their non-contact training. Students do not have to hit or be hit by anyone in order to learn. Each class is unique, ensuring that students never get bored. Regardless of their current fitness level, students will have fun while discovering their inner strength, developing a sense of purpose, gaining mental and physical strength, and working every muscle in their body.
Beginners are welcome to join the academy at any time throughout the year. The academy fosters an inclusive environment for individuals of all ages. They offer two age-specific Taekwondo programmes: Kids Taekwondo and Multigenerational Taekwondo.
The Kids Taekwondo programme, designed for children aged 5–12 years old, focuses on developing their physical coordination, discipline, and self-confidence through age-appropriate training and engaging activities.
The Multigenerational Taekwondo programme combines the excitement of martial arts with character development, fitness training, and self-defence skills. It is open to individuals aged 8 years and above, catering to a wide range of ages and skill levels.
Experienced and helpful instructors guide students through their martial arts journey, ensuring that the training is appropriate and beneficial for each individual. The academy emphasises the many benefits of World Taekwondo training, including improved fitness, self-defence skills, stress relief and relaxation, increased self-confidence, improved focus and concentration, character development, social connexions, and improved physical and mental health.
Membership with World Taekwondo offers numerous advantages. Members have free access to all World Taekwondo training centres, each providing a unique experience. Unlimited training is included at no extra cost, and members receive personal attention from qualified instructors from day one. There are no binding contracts or cancellation fees.
Practical self-defence skills are incorporated into regular training sessions, and members receive fully recognised international certification approved by World Taekwondo HQ in Korea.
