Woolwich & Plumstead Bowls Club has a long-standing history in the Shooters Hill community, being founded by Officers of the Royal Artillery and local businessmen back in 1905. With 118 years of bowling experience, the club has become a prominent part of the local community.

The outdoor bowls programme at the club runs from 8th April 2023 to 24th September 2023, providing ample opportunities for members to enjoy the sport. The club caters to all ages and abilities, offering a mixture of competitive and friendly bowling for both men and women. Affiliated with Bowls England, Kent County B. A.

, London & Southern Counties B. , Dartford & District B. , Mens Private Clubs League, and N. W.

Kent Triples League, the club provides a range of playing opportunities and competitions.

In addition to the sporting activities, Woolwich & Plumstead Bowls Club also organises regular social activities during the winter months. Members can gather and socialise while enjoying the fully stocked bar, which offers a selection of beverages at competitive prices.
