Long Lane Junior Football Club, founded in 1981, is located at Kidbrooke Playing Fields in London. Originally a derelict ground, the club underwent significant development and became a registered charity in 1997. Through fundraising and grants, Long Lane JFC has transformed its facilities into some of the best in the southeast.
In recognition of its quality, Long Lane JFC was chosen as a training facility during the London 2012 Olympics, hosting some of the world's top footballers. The club currently has around 40 teams, ranging from U7's to veterans, and includes girls' teams at various age groups.
The men's first team entered the Kent County League in the 2012/13 season and has maintained its position in Division 2 (West) since then. The senior ladies' team competes in Step 6 of the women's football pyramid, playing in Division 1 of the South East Counties Women's League.
Long Lane JFC regularly updates its website and social media platforms with the latest news, match reports, and fixtures. The club embraces inclusivity and actively encourages new players to join its teams. For example, the U10 Long Lane Pumas, a high-flying Selkent B League team, is currently searching for new stars. The U13 girls' team also seeks players in all positions and offers training sessions on Thursdays.
In addition to football teams, Long Lane JFC also supports a Saturday veterans' team in the SVFL Div 2 league. The club provides a welcoming and nurturing environment for all players, regardless of age or skill level.
Training sessions and matches take place at the club's home ground in Kidbrooke Playing Fields, which features an astro turf pitch. The Long Lane JFC facilities are conveniently equipped with changing rooms and necessary amenities to ensure a comfortable experience for all members.
