Classes are held on Wednesdays at Llantwit Town Hall and on Thursdays at Colwinston Village Hall. The Wednesday classes offer a variety of options suitable for different levels of experience. Beginners can join the Beginners Only Tai Chi class from 6-7PM, while those more familiar with the practise can participate in the Tai Chi Traditional class from 7-8PM. For those interested in Tai Chi and Kung Fu combined, the Tai Chi Kung Fu class from 8-9PM is available.

This ancient form of Tai Chi is believed to have originated in the 13th century and is characterised by slow, elegant, and unbroken movements. Students start with modified versions and gradually progress to more advanced movements.
In addition to traditional Tai Chi, the classes also incorporate weapons training, including the use of sticks and swords.
Apart from Tai Chi, Vale Dragon Tai Chi also offers Kung Fu classes. Kung Fu is the umbrella term for Chinese martial arts and emphasises using an opponent's force against themselves. The Kung Fu Tai Chi classes at Vale Dragon combine techniques such as China Na, kicks, strikes, pad work, locks, and throws.
