

Welcome to the UQ Boxing Club, located on the beautiful St Lucia Campus in Brisbane, Australia. As a not-for-profit club run by dedicated volunteers, we strive to provide a safe and friendly environment for individuals of all skill levels to learn and enjoy the sport of boxing.
At UQ Boxing Club, we welcome everyone, regardless of their experience or fitness level. Our experienced coaches are passionate about teaching proper boxing techniques, as well as incorporating boxing exercises and self-defence strategies into our classes. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced boxer, we have something for everyone.
If you're new to boxing, we offer dedicated beginner classes every Tuesday and Thursday of the month. During these sessions, our coaches will guide you through the basics of stance, movement, and proper punch techniques. We also emphasise the importance of safety and recommend the purchase of hand-wraps, which are available for $10 at our training sessions. For those interested in sparring, a mouth-guard is required, and club membership is necessary.
We offer flexible membership options to cater to individual preferences. Our single-trip option enables you to attend classes on a pay-as-you-go basis, while our 10-trip membership includes access to our classes and additional membership benefits. For those looking for long-term commitment, we offer semester memberships, allowing you to train with us throughout the academic year.
To accommodate the ever-changing demands of our members, we have introduced Beginner Boxing + Cardio Box sessions for the year 2022. These sessions are designed to improve cardio fitness, strength, agility, and are suitable for beginners and those interested in cardio boxing. No bookings are required, and all equipment is provided. Join us at Fitness Centre Building 25 for an invigorating workout!
The UQ Boxing Club has a rich history in cultivating a supportive and inclusive community.
