Turtle Tots Exeter & East Devon is a baby swimming school that offers inspiring and supportive swimming lessons for babies, toddlers, and preschoolers. With their unique and multi award-winning child-led programme, Turtle Tots aims to develop water confidence, safety, and swimming skills in a magical journey between parent and child.

At Turtle Tots, thousands of babies, toddlers, and preschoolers are taught to swim every week across the UK and Ireland. The progressive lessons provide a wonderful bonding experience through songs and games, ensuring that parents and their little ones enjoy their time in the pool and develop a lifelong love of water. The school is particularly passionate about teaching water safety and lifesaving skills at a pace that is right for each child.

All of Turtle Tots' swimming teachers are world-class and trained to understand how babies communicate and when toddlers and older children are ready to progress. This understanding allows them to fully support each child's learning during their critical early years. The swimming programme begins before the baby is born with Turtle Tums Aqua Natal Yoga and continues until the child is 4 years old.

For babies aged 0–14 months, Turtle Tots offers baby swimming lessons that gently introduce them to swimming and create a foundation for a lifelong love of water. These lessons focus on bonding, familiarising children with water, and teaching them vital lifesaving skills through gentle and playful activities, songs, and games.

From 14 months to 3 years, toddlers can join the toddler swimming lessons. Building on the foundations developed in their first year, these lessons consolidate the skills and introduce new swim skills appropriate for their age and stage.

For children aged 3 and 4 years, Turtle Tots offers swimming lessons that gradually teach them to master the skills introduced in their baby and toddler lessons. These lessons also focus on progressing to recognisable swimming skills, such as back and front strokes, streamlining, rotation, diving for objects, treading water, and floating.

In addition to swimming lessons, Turtle Tots also offers Turtle Tums Aquanatal Yoga classes. These classes are designed to prepare expectant parents for the arrival of their new baby by offering the benefits of stretching, relaxation, and deep breathing using the natural buoyancy and resistance of the water.
