Hugh here from Tukino Alpine Sports Club (TASC) wants to give you all a warm welcome to our snowy haven! 🏂 Nestled on the eastern side of Mt. Ruapehu, TASC isn't just a club; it's your go-to spot for all things alpine—be it snow sports, tramping, rock climbing, or just soaking in those epic New Zealand views.
Planning a visit this winter? You'll need a 4WD to get to our lodge. No worries if you don’t have one—mountain transport can be sorted from the 2WD carpark. And if you're a member of the New Zealand Alpine Club, guess what? Your TASC membership is on us!
Our lodge? It’s comfy and budget-friendly, perfect for both members and casual visitors. We're big on being eco-friendly with constant upgrades to keep us green 🌿. And let’s not forget those killer views—from Mt. Ruapehu’s majesty to the Kaimanawa Ranges and Lake Taupo. It’s a sight to behold!

Heads up though, the Tukino Ski Field is taking a break for the 2023 winter season, but summer’s still in full swing with self-catered rates at the lodge. Summers can be a bit unpredictable, so gear up! And for those keen to lend a hand, we’re gearing up for our Summer Works Programme 2023/24—join us in keeping our lodge and skifield in top shape!
