Manukau Outrigger Canoe Club is excited to announce their upcoming event, the M2M competition, happening on the 22nd of March 2025. This downwind paddling race is specifically designed for Outrigger canoe teams of 6.
The event will offer a thrilling experience as teams navigate the course based on the prevailing wind and weather conditions on the day. With potential routes from Maketu to Pilot Bay, Bowentown to Pilot Bay, or around Karewa and Rabbit Island, participants can expect a challenging yet rewarding race.
To ensure a competitive field, only 20 teams will be able to compete in the M2M event. Priority will be given to experienced teams, with a focus on showcasing the best paddling skills in the Women/Mixed and Men's categories.
For teams without a proven track record, a demonstration of their paddling capabilities will be required to secure a spot in the race.
