Manukau Outrigger Canoe Club is excited to announce the Matariki Hiwa i te Rangi Challenge happening at Okahu Bay, Auckland on June 28, 2024. It's going to be a fantastic day filled with thrilling races, great food, cool merchandise, and a chance to win some awesome prizes. Whether you're a pro paddler or just starting out, this event is sure to be a blast for you and your loved ones.
The day kicks off with registration and safety checks at 9:00 am, followed by a traditional Karakia at 9:30 am, a race briefing at 9:45 am, and then the races start at 10:00 am. The action will wrap up by 2:00 pm, and then we'll have the prize-giving ceremony at 2:30 pm. It's going to be a day full of culture and fun, so make sure you mark your calendars!
