Welcome to The Space – Yoga in Dorset, located in the heart of the Blackmore Vale in Shaftesbury, Dorset. The Space is a wellness centre offering a range of services including yoga classes, reflexology, massage therapy, and holistic treatments.
Sally Rainbowchild, the founder of The Space, has been practising and teaching yoga for twenty-five years. As a certified VCTC reflexologist and massage therapist, Sally is an experienced health and wellbeing practitioner. She is also a trained mental health first-aider with MHFA England.
The Space studio and treatment room are conveniently located in Shaftesbury, with easy access and parking available in the nearby Bell Street car park. Yoga classes are offered both online and in person, catering to all levels and abilities. In addition to regular classes, The Space also offers a 12-week beginners course, providing an introduction to the practise of yoga. Participants will learn about various aspects of yoga such as asanas (postures), pranayama (breathing techniques), bandhas (body locks), mudras (hand positions), and meditation.
Yoga classes at The Space are scheduled throughout the week, offering flexibility for students to choose a time that suits them. Class times vary from early morning to evening, accommodating different schedules. The studio environment is intimate and fully equipped, ensuring a personalised and focused experience. Limited class sizes ensure individual attention and guidance from Sally.

Treatments can be booked at a time that suits you, including evenings and weekends. Sally is known for her work within the prison sector, having gained four years of experience at HMP Guys Marsh.
To book a class or inquire about treatments, get in touch with The Space. New students are required to fill out a health questionnaire prior to attending a class, ensuring a safe and tailored experience. Payments are confirmed to secure your place, and cancellations made less than 24 hours before class are still expected to be paid for.
