Jodie would like to share some news with the sports community about some remarkable workspaces in Cardiff that could be just what you're looking for. She oversees two sites: The Bridge Studios and The Bone Yard, both designed to support small businesses and creatives in a community-minded environment.
The Bridge Studios is conveniently located next to one of Cardiff's main routes, making it easy to reach. This site used to be a neglected welders yard but now is a lively hub for artists, makers, and creators. It includes four large warehouse spaces, seven shipping container studios, and a Porta-cabin studio. There are also shared communal spaces, shared toilets, 24-hour access, and CCTV for security.
On the other side of town, The Bone Yard is nestled on Paper Mill Road in Canton and has been around since 2015. It features ten shipping containers filled with various artists, makers, and creators. There's also a café and bar on-site, perfect for taking a break or meeting new people. The Bone Yard prides itself on flexible contracts and carefully selecting its residents to foster creative networking and collaboration.
Recently, Jodie launched a new site called Railway Gardens, which is already forming its vibrant community. For those looking for workspace, a container studio at The Bone Yard will be available from the 1st of October, complete with water facilities.
Both sites host a variety of talented and passionate individuals and businesses, including Shutter Studios, a space for six artists; Absorb Water Kefir, a producer of naturally sparkling probiotic drinks; Mr Croquwich, a chicken and cheese shop; and Flowerhorn Brewery, a microbrewery run by beer enthusiasts Andrew and Arran.
