With a history dating back to the late 1930s, our program has been developed over seven decades of experience and expertise. It all started with Thomas Shapland, who began teaching swimming in Toowoomba. His son, Bernard Shapland, then took over in 1947, continuing the family's legacy of teaching swimming locally and coaching at the national level.

In 1992, Chris Shapland, a member of the illustrious swimming family, documented their proven and effective method. This method, consisting of five skill levels, can now be taught by Swim Schools franchisees and teachers across various locations. Our program is carefully personalised by our dedicated teachers to meet the unique needs of each student.

At Swim Schools, we believe that learning how to swim should be a fun and enjoyable experience for every child. That's why our program is designed to create a positive and supportive environment where children can develop their swimming skills with confidence.

We also understand that life can get busy, and sometimes, unforeseen circumstances may arise. That's why we offer cancellation requests up to a certain time on the day of the lesson. Additionally, if you miss a lesson, you can request a make-up session, ensuring that you get the most out of our program.
