Shapland Swim Schools – Ipswich is a renowned sports club located in Silkstone, Brisbane. As the new owners of the swim school, Lucas and Marie Shapland are proud to offer only semi-private classes of three, ensuring personalised attention for each student. Lucas, a 4th generation swimming teacher, brings over 20 years of experience in teaching swimming to students of all levels from infants to advanced swimmers. Marie takes care of the administrative aspects of the school.

Lucas and Marie have been running the Shapland Swim School in Moorooka since 2012 and are excited to continue the family legacy and provide high-quality swimming lessons in Ipswich. They have two young boys themselves, Bernie (8) and Murphy (7), and are dedicated to the prevention of childhood drowning and promoting swimming as a lifelong skill.

Customers have praised the school for its “fun” approach to swimming, which has proven to be highly effective in building confidence and improving skills in children. The school's instructors are commended for their dedication and the personal approach they bring to each lesson.

The swim school boasts a great private swimming pool specially designed for kids to learn in a comfortable and safe environment. With a maximum of three children per class and 20-minute lessons, students receive individual attention and ample practise time. The pool is fully enclosed and heated, ensuring a pleasant learning experience even during the cooler months. The school serves various suburbs in the Brisbane area.

Shapland Swim Schools – Ipswich operates on a monthly fee basis, with a family deposit payable upon signing up. The deposit is then used for the last four swim lessons. The cost per lesson per child is $20. 50, with discounted rates for second and subsequent children.

The swim school's opening hours are from 7:40 am to 6:00 pm on weekdays and 7:00 am to 12:00 pm on Saturdays. Please note that hours are subject to change.
