Suzanne Gribble Yoga is a well-established yoga studio located in London, offering Iyengar yoga classes with Suzanne Gribble as the experienced instructor. The studio prides itself on providing a welcoming and inclusive environment for individuals of all ages, abilities, genders, ethnic origins, and backgrounds.
With a deep appreciation for the transformative power of yoga, Suzanne believes that yoga is a universal path that can help individuals find freedom and awareness both physically and internally. Through the practise of yoga poses, participants can gain flexibility, strength, stability, stamina, confidence, and a quieter mind. Suzanne has been practising Iyengar yoga since the early 1990s and began teaching in 2009, eventually becoming a Level 3 teacher. She offers a variety of classes in the areas of Ealing and West Kensington.
Suzanne also has a special passion for teaching children and teenagers, as she believes in introducing yoga to young individuals and helping them discover themselves through the practise. She conducts classes specifically for children and teenagers on Saturday mornings and Monday afternoons.
Suzanne's journey into yoga started over 25 years ago when she first discovered Iyengar yoga through her mother. With the support and guidance of her early teachers, Ursula Schoonraad, John Shirbon, and John Claxton, she found inspiration and balance in her life while juggling her professional career and family responsibilities. Eventually, she left her job to pursue teacher training, which deepened her own practise and allowed her to assist others in their yoga journeys.
Throughout her yoga journey, Suzanne remains grateful for the guidance and wisdom provided by her initial teacher trainers, Ursula and Sheila Haswell. She continues to learn from senior teachers such as Julie Hodges and Sheila Haswell, attending regular classes and workshops to deepen her own personal practise and enhance her teaching skills. Suzanne has also had the privilege of learning from prominent senior teachers, including Geeta and Abhijata Iyengar, as well as teachers who worked closely with them.
Suzanne's dedication to ongoing learning extends beyond asana practise. She has completed four modules on the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, studying the meanings and Sanskrit of these ancient texts and exploring how they can be applied to both yoga practise and everyday life. Continuing her study of yoga philosophy, Suzanne has benefited immensely from the teachings of Gitte Bechsgaard, an expert in philosophy, Sanskrit, Eastern psychology, and Vedic disciplines.
Personally, Suzanne has experienced numerous benefits from her yoga practise, including improvements in her health, well-being, and overall mindset. As a teacher, she finds great reward in helping others on their own yoga journeys and continues to learn and develop through the experiences of her students.
At Suzanne Gribble Yoga, individuals can expect a dedicated and knowledgeable teacher who is committed to creating a safe and inclusive space for all practitioners. Whether one is a beginner or an experienced yogi, Suzanne's classes aim to guide students towards physical and inner transformation, helping them experience the many benefits that yoga has to offer.
