During the beginner classes, students will learn the foundational principles and movements of Tai Chi, which gradually build up into a sequence called a form. Additionally, Qigong exercises are incorporated into the classes to help loosen the body and reduce stress. Cherry teaches authentic traditional forms, which she learned from Chinese masters in the UK and China, such as the Beijing 24 Tai Chi and 8 Pieces of Brocade.

As a responsible and health-conscious centre, Surrey and Hants Tai Chi Qigong Mytchett has certain conditions of attendance and booking. If a student has any cold-like symptoms, it is advised to refrain from attending classes until all symptoms have disappeared. In the case of missing a booked class, the fee is still applicable, but a recording of the class content will be provided for home practise. For students who desire the class recording every week, in addition to attending classes, there is a small additional fee.
