Squash Gym

Welcome to Palmerston North SquashGym, one of New Zealand's oldest and leading sporting clubs. Located at 22 Linton Street in Palmerston North, SquashGym is known for hosting various New Zealand National Squash events throughout the years. It has been the venue for significant tournaments such as the 1971 World Men's Championship, the 2006 World Junior Men's Championships, and the World Deaf Championships and World Women's Teams Championships in 2010.

SquashGym boasts eight glass back Squash courts, including a Championship gallery court. Three of these courts are ASB courts with movable walls, allowing members to play doubles on full-sized courts. The club also offers a public gym for fitness enthusiasts. Other facilities available to members and guests include a Pro-Shop, Club Office, Bar & Lounge, changing rooms, and free parking.

The club is well-governed by an elected committee, an administrator, and friendly and capable part-time staff who oversee the Pro-Shop, Club Office, Bar & Lounge, and Gym. SquashGym received recognition as a winner at the 2003 Manawatu Business Awards, highlighting its commitment to excellence in service.

The Pro-Shop is closed on Sundays, but it opens from 11am to 4pm on Fridays. Gym opening hours are from 6am to 9pm, seven days a week. Members with carded access can enjoy extended hours from 6am to 10:45pm.

SquashGym welcomes casual players and offers opportunities for court bookings through their online booking system. Additionally, the venue is available for hire and can accommodate up to 100 people. It is perfect for various occasions, from birthday parties and engagement parties to wedding receptions and work meetings.

The SquashGym team comprises dedicated individuals who ensure the smooth operation of the club. James van Kerkhoff serves as the Squash Gym Manager, while personal training is provided by Sean Le Marquand. The committee includes Jason Fletcher as the President, Joshua Cooper as the Vice President, and Brandon Keenan as the Treasurer, among others.
