Spotlight Dance & Theatre School, located in Hemel Hempstead, is a renowned dance school with a rich history in nurturing young talents. Rachel Ford (Barrell), the owner of Spotlight Dance & Theatre School, is a highly experienced Singing and Drama Teacher. Growing up in Portsmouth, Rachel started dance lessons at a young age and developed a passion for singing. She attended Guildford School of Acting, where she pursued a Musical Theatre Diploma course. Rachel's professional career began with roles in the New Shakespeare Company's productions at the Open Air Theatre in Regents Park.
She later went on to appear in the original UK Tour of Disney's “Beauty and the Beast” and made her West End debut in “Thoroughly Modern Millie” at the Shaftesbury Theatre. Recently, Rachel has been playing the leading role of Christine in Andrew Lloyd Webber's “The Phantom of the Opera” at Her Majestys Theatre.
Spotlight Dance & Theatre School hosts their classes in two venues. The Tudor Primary School is one location, where a variety of classes take place. Another venue is the Bedmond Village Hall, where the Spotlight Juniors classes are held. Both locations provide conducive environments for learning and growth.
