Respective groups. The fast group covers approximately 50–60 miles at an average speed of 17-19mph, the medium group covers 35–45 miles at an average speed of 15-17mph, and the steady group covers around 30 miles at an average speed of 12-14mph.

The routes for the Sunday club rides are published on the club's Facebook group in GPX format, allowing riders to upload and review the routes beforehand. It is recommended for participants to bring along the necessary equipment, such as a helmet, working front and rear lights, and appropriate clothing for the weather conditions. The club emphasises the importance of safety during rides and adheres to the rules and regulations set by cycling organisations.

In addition to the regular Sunday rides, the club offers Mellow Monday rides from May to August. These rides start at the Fisheries at 19:00 and are designed for new riders or those looking for a relaxed and social cycling experience. The Mellow Monday rides cover approximately 17 miles at an easy pace, providing an opportunity for riders to chat and informally discuss their interests in cycling. While there is no café stop on these rides, participants often stop for liquid refreshments at the Fisheries after the ride.

Hemel Hempstead Cycling Club has been exploring the lanes of Hertfordshire since 1933 and is affiliated with various cycling organisations including British Cycling, Cycling Time Trials, Cycling UK, and Triathlon England.
