Welcome to Sol Yoga with Kate, a nurturing and compassionate yoga studio located in Willunga South, South Australia. Led by Kate, a dedicated mother, yoga and movement sharer, and aspiring fruitful gardener, Sol Yoga aims to create a sense of community and connexion through the practise of yoga.
At Sol Yoga, you can expect a range of yoga classes offered throughout the week. Every Monday, there are two options available: Vinyasa from 6:00-7:15pm and Gentle Flow from 7:30-8:45pm. The Wednesday class is a Gentle Flow from 6:00-7:00pm. These classes are designed to help students move mindfully, stretch, build strength, release tension, and calm the mind and body.
Each class includes guided breath or sound practises, restorative/yin postures, and a seated meditation or relaxation to conclude the session. Suitable for both beginners and experienced practitioners, these classes offer the opportunity to go beyond the physical aspect of yoga and explore the deeper dimensions of the practise. Options and variations are provided during the classes, and priority is given to term bookings, although casual attendance is also available if space permits. The investment for these classes is $150.
Sol Yoga also offers a Prenatal yoga class every Wednesday from 9:30-10:30am. This 5-week series provides valuable practises to prepare the mind and body during pregnancy and beyond. Expect gentle and nourishing classes with breathing techniques, empowering and restorative postures, meditation, visualisation, and the opportunity to chat within a circle of local mothers-to-be. The investment for the 5-week series is $90, with casual attendance available if space permits for $20.
For new mothers, Sol Yoga offers the Baby and Me class every Wednesday from 11:00am-12:00pm. This interactive and fun class provides an opportunity for mothers and babies to spend quality time together away from daily stressors. The class focuses on calming, restoring, rejuvenating, and strengthening the body, as well as creating connexion with oneself, the baby, and other new mothers in the area. Participants can expect movement, exercises to re-engage the core and pelvic floor muscles, breathing and meditation techniques for stress relief, yoga poses that can be done while holding the baby, poses to build heat and strength, and baby yoga, bonding, singing and playtime.
After the class, there is ample time to chat, share, and connect with other mothers. The investment for the 5-week series is $90, with casual attendance available if space permits for $20. Please note that this class is suitable for pre-crawlers only.
In addition to regular classes, Sol Yoga occasionally organises intimate retreat days, which are a special gift to yourself. Details and dates for these retreats are released on our Instagram and Facebook pages, so be sure to keep an eye out for updates.
