Nestled in the heart of Hanna, Skyriver Shala is a serene yoga studio dedicated to promoting health, wellness, and community connection. Operating in Special Areas 2, Hanna, the studio is honoured to acknowledge the traditional territories of the Blackfoot Confederacy (Siksika, Kainai, Piikani), the Tsuutina, the yxe Nakoda Nations, the Mtis Nation (Region 3), and all people who call the Treaty 7 region in Southern Alberta their home.
Skyriver Shala is a donation-based yoga studio, emphasizing inclusivity and accessibility to all. The studio believes in supporting the local community, and as a result, has shifted to a donation-based platform to ensure everyone can benefit from the practice of yoga. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced yogi, whether you have formal training or are self-taught, Skyriver Shala welcomes individuals of all levels and backgrounds.
Founded and owned by a member of the community, Skyriver Shala prides itself on its values of inclusivity and compassion. The studio actively supports BIPOC communities and spaces, striving to create a welcoming and supportive environment for all individuals. As a proud member of the community, Skyriver Shala is committed to providing friendly and supportive products and services to local people and organizations.
At Skyriver Shala, the team is led by Bluebell Rivers, a movement therapist and certified Pranayama teacher. With a Yoga Alliance RYT-500 certification, Bluebell embodies the values of the studio as she guides students through their yoga practice.
