Ngauruhoe Ski Club, headed by Jamie, offers affordable and comfortable accommodation for members and guests. The club's lodges, Ruapehu and Ngauruhoe, come with all the necessary amenities for a pleasant stay.
Ruapehu Lodge can fit 60 people, while Ngauruhoe Lodge can accommodate 40. Both lodges feature shared bunk rooms, communal kitchen and dining spaces, cosy lounges with fireplaces, and ski storage. There are also laundry facilities and hot showers available. Nestled in the scenic Tongariro National Park, the club provides easy access to the Whakapapa and Turoa skifields.
The natural beauty of the park sets a perfect stage for skiing, snowboarding, and a variety of outdoor activities. Besides hitting the slopes, you can go mountain biking, hiking, fishing, or explore the Tongariro Crossing and Old Coach Road. The winter highlight is the Ngauruhoe Ski Club Trophy Race, a fiercely contested event among clubs in Iwikau Village. The race ends with a highly anticipated after-party.
