New Plymouth Croquet Club

The New Plymouth Croquet Club (NPCC) is located in a sheltered area beside the Te Henui River and the nearby coastal walkway in New Plymouth, New Zealand. The club boasts four meticulously maintained lawns where members can enjoy playing both Association and Golf Croquet. The tradition of croquet in Taranaki has spanned over 150 years, and in 2021, NPCC proudly celebrated the centenary of the Taranaki Croquet Association, now known as Croquet Taranaki Incorporated (CTI). In our 2023 Annual General Meeting, we honoured Peter Batchelor, our Club Captain for Golf Croquet, with a Life Membership to NPCC. At NPCC, our mission is to provide a croquet club that offers a friendly, supportive, and challenging environment for players of all skill levels. We strive to create an enjoyable and competitive gaming experience for everyone. Our club is powered by Sporty. co.

If you're wondering where to find us, you can either park on Watson Street (opposite the Devon Hotel on Devon Street) and take a short walk to the club, or you can park at the sea end of Baring Terrace and cross the bridge over the Te Henui river.

NPCC hosts various tournaments throughout the year. In 2023, we have several upcoming events, including the Croquet Taranaki Inc Interclub starting on September 11th, the 19th Annual GC Tournament from October 27th to October 29th, and the Mountain Challenge on November 12th. We will also be hosting the Croquet Taranaki 99th Annual AC Tournament from November 17th to November 19th, the Silver Badge Finals on December 11th, and the Silver Buttons event on December 16th. Stay tuned for our 2024 tournament dates.

During summer, NPCC offers club days for both Golf Croquet and Association Croquet. Golf Croquet club days take place every morning from Tuesday to Saturday at 9:30 am. Association Croquet club days are held on Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday at 1 pm. Additionally, during summer, we offer Twilight Golf Croquet every Wednesday from 5 pm to 7 pm.
