Murray Downs Golf & Country Club is a sports club located in Swan Hill, NSW, offering top-notch facilities for golf, dining, and bowls. With its stunning Tifdwarf grass bowling greens, the club boasts some of the best bowling facilities in regional NSW. They have three greens, fully supported by shade structures, a bowls office, toilets, disabled toilet facilities, and the John Mayer's Pavilion, complete with BBQ facilities.

The Murray Downs Club is not only a place for seasoned bowlers but also welcomes newcomers who want to learn the game. They offer support and guidance to help new players learn the tricks of the game and quickly become ready to compete. The club's world-class bowling greens provide the perfect setting for both social bowls and barefoot bowls, which are great ways to be introduced to the sport.

If you're interested in becoming a bowls member, Murray Downs Club offers various membership options. The Bowls Membership, valid from April 2021 to March 2022, is priced at $220. Additionally, there is a fee of $10 per player for Thursday and social bowls, all club events, and club tournaments. For those participating in Midweek or Saturday Pennant, green fees are set at $10 per player.

The club is managed by a dedicated committee with Garry McCaig as the Chairperson, Harry Whitford as the Deputy Chairperson, David Alderuccio as the Secretary, and Peter Furnell as the Treasurer, among others. They strive to provide excellent service and ensure the smooth functioning of the club.

Murray Downs Golf & Country Club also organises a variety of tournaments and events throughout the year. Heading the club's bowls coaching and ambassadorial role is Josh Thornton. Born with a congenital birth defect and raised in Wahgunyah, Josh has overcome many obstacles to pursue his passion for sports, finding success in lawn bowls. He has represented his state and his country, including winning Gold in the Para Triples at the 2018 Commonwealth Games. As an accredited Lawn Bowls coach, Josh brings his expertise to the Murray Downs Club, providing coaching and guidance to bowlers of all levels.
