The Mid Murray Flying Club was formed in 1962 by a group of people who loved flying and has been the case ever since. They built a clubroom at Swan Hill that is still ideal for our purposes to this day. We also have club rooms at Kerang which forms part of the Mid Murray Flying Club. Each year we hold two or three “breakfasts” to which we invite surrounding aero clubs and attendees who either fly or drive to the function. We hold an annual “Wings Night” where we present students who have done their first solo flight during the year with a Certificate of achievement. We also give Certificates to those who have gained their Pilots licence. This is a great night and is always well attended by both the recipients and other members of the club. A guest speaker is invited and they present the audience with a wide range of topics. Last year was on Sky Diving and the speaker held the audience spell bound as he listed the various elements involved in Sky Diving. Our students range in age from 16 to over 60 years of age, so you can see there is always an opportunity to learn to fly.
