Barham Sports Bowling Club, located in The Council of the Shire of Wakool, is a sports club in Australia. With its brand new world-class bowls facilities overlooking the Murray River, it has become a popular destination for bowlers along the Murray River.
In 2022, Barham Sports Bowling Club underwent a major transformation, upgrading their lawn bowls facilities. The club now boasts two brand new 9 rink synthetic world-class surfaces, with one being undercover. This upgrade allows for recreational and competitive use of the facilities all year round. The complex is conveniently located at the rear of the main services club in Neimur Street, making it easily accessible for members and visitors.
It is also centrally located, with two motels nearby and backing onto the Barham Caravan & Tourist Park on the banks of the beautiful Murray River.
The bowling club has not only upgraded its greens but also fully refurbished its clubrooms. The new clubrooms feature a tournament office, amenities, and an upgrade to parking facilities, surrounds, and gardens. With its modern and well-designed complex, Barham Sports Bowling Club is expected to host major bowls tournaments in the future. It provides a safe and friendly environment for bowls club members, guests, and visitors to the region.
For bowlers looking to participate, social bowls competitions are held on Tuesday and Saturday afternoons outside the Pennant Season. Members and visitors are most welcome and encouraged to join in the fun.
