Milton Bridge Club, led by Julie Scott, has been proudly part of the local scene since 1978 and is affiliated with NZ Bridge. With a membership averaging 26-30, the club is dedicated to promoting bridge in the community.
Julie and the team offer 10 free bridge lessons each year, providing a chance for beginners and those wanting to improve to learn in a supportive setting. Membership is $40 annually, supporting club activities, and a $4 table fee, including supper, applies on club nights.
Weekly meetings are held every Thursday at 7.00pm from late January to the end of November. A festive Xmas dinner and prize giving is scheduled for early December. The club uses BridgeNZ tablets for precise scoring, which is shared on the BridgeNZ website and in the local paper.
Using the acol bidding system, Milton Bridge Club welcomes visitors to join their games. The club is located in the Milton Chamber Room at Coronation Hall, easily accessible midway on the main street of Milton.
