The Kihikihi Speedway Club began its journey in 1954 with a basic track on the Kihikihi Domain. Still at the same location, the venue has seen numerous upgrades to enhance the experience for everyone. Initially focusing on open wheel and bike classes, the club expanded its range in the early 90s, adding a concrete wall and a variety of speedway classes.
Today, Kihikihi Speedway hosts Saloons, Super Saloons, Superstocks, Stockcars, Youth Ministocks, Midgets, TQ Midgets, Sprintcars, and Sidecars. After installing track lights in 2014, events switched to Saturday evenings, making family-friendly nights even better.
