Loong Ying Kung Fu takes self-defence seriously, acknowledging that being attacked is not a game. Through disciplined practise and self-control, students develop the ability to neutralise an aggressor with efficiency and precision.
The roots of Loong Ying Dragon Kung Fu can be traced back to the Huashoutai Shaolin Temple on Mount Luofu in southern China. It is a Hakkanese art, deriving from the Hakkanese people, who were a nomadic group persecuted by wider Chinese society. Loong Ying Kung Fu was designed to defend against life-threatening attacks, making it a formidable and highly effective self-defence system.
Training in Loong Ying Dragon Kung Fu not only develops physical strength, flexibility, and endurance but also cultivates a healthy overall well-being. The movements of the Southern Dragon style of Shaolin Boxing are inspired by the mythical Chinese dragon, embodying its power, strength, and wisdom. By immersing themselves in the art, students learn to embody these qualities and apply them to their daily lives.
Whether you're a beginner looking to learn self-defence or an experienced martial artist seeking to deepen your skills, Loong Ying Dragon Kung Fu Club welcomes you to join their community. Through dedicated practise and guidance from experienced instructors, students can unlock their full potential and become skilled practitioners of Dragon Kung Fu.
